Daisy officially turned 1 year old on March 29th! My little girl is growing up. And what a nice day we all had too. We didn’t put a silly hat on her or make her a puppy cake... we went to the park for a nice walk. It’s finally warmed up enough outside that we could go, so we took full advantage. We had a horribly cold winter this year, and going to the park wasn’t even an option. And when I say cold, I mean COLD! Prairie winters in Canada are not gentle. We had -40 to -45 degrees Celsius for long stretches this year. With a winter coat and booties, that gives just enough time for a potty break, then it's right back inside. However, she did great, considering she’s been quite sheltered in the house over winter. She’s very nervous around other dogs, but passed two small dogs nicely. Once we got home, it was straight on the bed for a nap.
She did however, get some presents! She got toys, rawhides, and her 'Aunt' got her these cute grippy socks! Daisy does everything to avoid walking on my parent's hardwood floors when we visit, so she's limited to the area rugs and linoleum. With time, these will help her motor around easier.
